Most installations take just a few hours to complete since the under-floor electrical channels for the existing antenna system usually have room to accomodate the extra MetalGuard cables (6mm cable per post detector). This eliminates the need to drill through floors or install above-floor channels.
Each standard post has a maximum range of approximately 175cm. Our MaxiPost has been designed for openings up to 220cm. A maximum of three antennas can be connected to a single electronic control unit.
Alert MetalGuard can be installed by anyone with experience from conventional antenna installations. Since it is generally cheaper to use locally available cables and standard connectors, we encourage our customers to purchase these through their local technician. Your local sales and service representative will gladly assist during the installation process and can also recommend a qualified technician in your area if you don't already have one.
